How to protect a One Piece Card Game display: the collector's guide

A sealed One Piece Card Game display is no longer just a box of boosters. For many collectors, some displays are now an integral part of a collection: first set, anniversary set, favorite set or simply a display you want to keep intact for years.

But keeping a display sealed quickly raises a problem: how do you protect it without hiding it? Scuffed cardboard, damaged corners, dust, friction or an accidental drop can deteriorate packaging that remained perfectly sealed. Here are the different solutions to keep your One Piece displays in the best conditions.

Why protect a sealed One Piece display?

When a card matters, nobody finds it strange to place it in a sleeve, a toploader or a rigid protector. For a sealed display, the logic is exactly the same. Even unopened, its packaging remains exposed to handling, friction and dust.

And when you collect sealed One Piece TCG, the outer condition of the display is part of the collectible itself. A clean box, with no crushed corner and a well-preserved original shrink wrap, will naturally be far more pleasant to display. Protection becomes particularly worthwhile when a display is meant to stay in a collection for several years.

Soft protectors: affordable, but limited

A first option is a soft plastic protector. Its main advantage is its price: it essentially limits dust and some superficial friction.

However, it provides very little mechanical protection. If something falls on the display or if it drops from a shelf, a soft protector does not really support the cardboard structure. For simple storage, it can be enough. To display a box you care about, a rigid protector is far more suitable.

The acrylic case: protect while displaying

This is precisely why acrylic protectors have become popular among sealed product collectors. An acrylic case creates a rigid structure around the display while keeping it fully visible. The display stays at the center of the collection instead of being locked away in a storage box.

This is the principle behind our Treasure Sealed acrylic display cases: 8 mm acrylic side panels, 5 mm for all other panels including the magnetic lid, with inner dimensions adapted to each display format. The goal is simple: protect the display, keep it on show and preserve your collection in good conditions.

A magnetic closure for easy access

A collector's protector should protect the display without making access complicated. Our cases use N52 magnets 5 mm in diameter, arranged in three pairs on each side. The removable magnetic lid can be taken off whenever you want to access the display, then put back in place without screws or tools. It also makes it easy to swap the display on show.

Pay attention to One Piece display dimensions

This is probably the most important point before buying a protector: not all One Piece Card Game displays share exactly the same format, and the earliest sets differ in size.

The 151 × 69 × 123 mm format fits OP-13 to OP-17, EB and PRB-02 displays; it is not compatible with OP-01, OP-02 and OP-03, which have their own dimensions. Before any purchase, check your display's dimensions: it avoids a protector that is too small or, on the contrary, too large, letting the display move inside.

How to store a sealed display properly?

The protective case is a first barrier, but where you keep your collection still matters. Avoid prolonged exposure to heat, humidity or direct sunlight: a stable shelf in a room with a reasonably constant temperature is preferable.

And above all, do not stack heavy objects directly on your displays. A sealed collection deserves the same care as a graded card collection.

Acrylic protection or simple storage?

It all depends on your goal. If you own several displays purely for storage, simple solutions can be enough. But if you want to keep and display a One Piece display, acrylic has an obvious advantage: the protection itself becomes part of the presentation, next to your graded cards, figures or other key pieces of your collection.
